Hi, I’m Gabby!
I’m an L.A.-based journalist and Type A creative with 6 years of professional experience covering science, technology, and culture across print, digital, radio, and podcasts.
Currently, I write white papers on the future of technology and AI for TechSoup’s global audience of civil society organizations, and I host a podcast on desert culture and environmental issues for the Salton Sea’s new nonprofit radio station, KDEZ 91.1.
I like to go deep on cultural phenomena big and small. Why Is Amy in the Bath?, my podcast miniseries and data journalism project on the history of bathtubs in cinema, was named one of The Atlantic’s 20 best podcasts of 2025. Earlier this year, I published a book of artist profiles for Oklahoma’s Wigwam Gallery and produced 10 episodes of More Like Ancient FAILiens, an edutainment podcast on UFO mythology and misinformation.
Previously, I was on staff at Wide Open Media, where I covered lifestyle and entertainment for a portfolio of national news sites. I started my career at WhoWhatWhy, a nonprofit investigative journalism outlet, where I managed climate coverage and moderated donor-facing events.
I graduated from Harvard University in 2020 with a Bachelor’s degree in English and a Secondary in Theater, Dance, and Media. I wrote for The Harvard Crimson, reported for WHRB 95.3FM (Harvard Radio Broadcasting), interned for Modern Luxury magazines, and spent a summer making theater in Berlin.
